I was reading an article today about simultaneous discovery and the phenomenon of arriving at the same knowledge or invention as someone else without ever remotely knowing the other's parallel pursuit. I find that interesting.
I've had that happen at least once and could not explain the coincidence. Apparently it has happened enough times so that it recognized as having merit. ummm
During the Maranatha conference, at one of lunch table discussions, I met a young woman with an adoption story that she was in the process of publishing. I can't adequately describe how all of the pieces came together but it was way beyond coincidence. God was at work. One of my poems "Tuesday's Child" about a premature baby, named Grace will be in her book which is about her adoption of a premature baby they named Grace.
On our trip we stopped in Kansas City to have lunch with Sara, Josh, and their beautiful children. I had a chance to meet the beautiful, healthy 2 1/2 year old Grace and her big brother.
The book is scheduled to go to press in February. I will let you know when it is available. The name for the book is Tuesday's Grace: A Modern Day Miracle

Maranatha Christian Writer's Conference 2010. One of my poems "The Silence Between" received second place in the poetry contest. My writing buddy Terri DeVries' poem received first place.
Two poems were chosen to be in the online journal, 4 and 20. Beginning September 21. Bliss, and Edge Light.
